Learn more about Rater Training with Clario
There is a strong relationship between inter-rater reliability and the number of participants needed to determine drug efficacy. Effective rater training can improve inter-rater reliability, reducing variability, and reduce the number of participants needed to power your clinical trial and the cost to bring your drug to market.1-3

Patient understanding of patient reported outcome (PRO) items was shown to increase with training, thus increasing the accuracy of data collected.4
Reduce placebo effect
Placebo effect results from a variety of causes, including patient-clinician interactions, patient expectations/beliefs, biases based on knowledge of drug/trial design, and familiarity with the patient. It’s most common in pain, migraine, itch, and gastrointestinal disorders, and can cause failure to determine treatment efficacy.
Clario’s Placebo Effect Training reduced placebo effect by more than 50% in a Phase III migraine study.5
