Healthcare policy is evolving rapidly to address issues around use of real-world evidence (RWE), cross-border collaboration, affordability, and equity. ISPOR Europe 2023 will focus on these topics, as well as the role of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) science in shaping policy. This global scientific event will cover key HEOR topics, including clinical outcomes, health policy and regulatory, and patient-centered research.

Valdo Arnera, M.D., Medical Scientific Advisor at Clario, will present a poster on 14 November regarding accessibility functionality and the impact this has on measurement equivalence and data integrity.

Poster session 3:

Title: Accessibility Vs Standardization: A Study of Electronic Implementation of Patient-Reported Outcomes Measures with Vision-Impaired Participants

Date: November 14, 2023

Time: 10:30-13:30

Discussion Period: 12:30 – 13:30

Abstract

To maintain measurement equivalence when presenting Patient-Reported Outcomes Measures (PROMs) on a multitude of devices (i.e. BYOD) requires adherence to implementation standards as defined in the eCOA Consortium guidelines. Contrary to these, inclusivity demands use of accessibility features like Zooming which individualizes presentation of PROMs and individual scales and the participant experience. This project assessed the potential effect on the measurement equivalence between both approaches.
